2nd Annual Amateur Photo Contest Now Accepting Entries
The Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce in partnership with The UPS Store® is encouraging area residents to grab their camera and capture the essence of the Rainy River District with their 2nd Annual Amateur Photo Contest.
The contest, which will highlight sights and scenes throughout the Rainy River District, is currently accepting entries in three different categories:
- Home and Leisure - working, living or playing in the Rainy River District
- The Great Outdoors - scenery or wildlife in the Rainy River District
- Kid’s in Motion - images of kids in motion around the Rainy River District
All entries must be taken by the applicant within the boundaries of the Rainy River District and an official entry form, including the photographers name, photo location, category and contact information must accompany the submission.
Submitted photographs should be 4" x 6" and digital entries via e-mail, disc, or memory card will also be accepted this year.
One photo from each category and an overall winner will be selected by a panel of judges. Winning photos and photographer name will be published in all 2009 Fort Frances tourism marketing ads and receive gift certificates for digital printing services courtesy of The UPS Store®.
All photographs will be on display during the 20th Annual Fort Frances Home & Leisure Show May 2-3 at the Fort Frances Memorial Sports Centre.
